Far Cry 5’s latest update has brought a smattering of new additions to the game, such as new Arcade Editor items. But our attention has been captured by a new Photo Mode. In the game’s Title Update 8, Photo Mode is being brought to the single player modes as of today. If you happen to experience any Kodak moments while siccing dogs on cultists, you can make it last forever with a picture.Â

Photo Mode will allow you to change aspects of each photo you take, such as the time of day, filter, field of view, and even your character’s facial expression. With plenty of critters, breathtaking landscapes, and other happenings in Hope County that necessitate photo-taking, this is great news.Â
Photo Mode has been a popular feature lately, and it’s been seen everywhere in games like God of War, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. It adds a hilarious new dimension, especially to darker narratives. In God of War you can change Kratos’ expression and to make him grin like he’s taking shots for his first dating profile. If you’re more of the artistic sort, you can simply tweak every setting for a perfect screenshot to share with others.
We’ll likely see this particular set of options coming to additional games in the future. It’s what the people want. And photo modes were made for dogs. When you have a dog like Far Cry 5’s Boomer to take tons of photos of, well, you can now satisfy the urge. He’s a very, very good boy, after all.Â
