Generation IV Pokémon, introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, are likely coming soon to Pokémon Go. Pokémon’s Generation IV features a total of 107 Pokémon, including 14 pseudo-Legendary, Legendary, and Mythical Pokémon. As Gen IV’s release is not yet confirmed, we also don’t yet know just how many of these Pokémon will be added to Pokémon Go. However, it’s likely they’ll be released in multiple waves, adding between 20 and 50 Pokémon at a time, similar to previous generations.

In addition to an all-new roster of Pokémon including new starters Piplup, Turtwig, and Chimchar (and their final evolutions Empoleon, Torterra, and Infernape), Generation IV also introduced new evolutions of Pokémon from previous generations. It’s likely that many of these new forms will be added in future Pokémon Go Generation IV updates, so you’ll want to get a head start on farming currently available, earlier evolutions to collect the candy you’ll need to Power Up and evolve.
The addition of Generation IV will also likely welcome new evolved forms of Eevee, including the Ice-type Glaceon and Grass-type Leafeon. The next Pokemon Community Day event, on Aug. 11 and 12, is spotlighting Eevee with increased spawns, so don’t miss out on your chance to farm tons of candy so you’re ready to obtain their new forms as soon as they’re added.
Here’s a list of all currently available Pokémon that feature evolved forms added in Generation IV.

Evolutionary items we’ll likely see in Generation IV updates
It’s worth noting that the vast majority of the Pokémon included in this list evolve through alternative means in main series. Primarily through use of evolutionary items. It’s likely that any necessary evolutionary items will be added to the selection randomly available at PokéStops, along with those currently in the game (such as Sun Stone or Metal Coat). Here’s all of the evolutionary items required to obtain these Pokémon in mainline Pokémon games, many of which we’ll likely see in Pokémon Go:
