Dr Boom was one of the most controversial cards ever made when it was released as part of Goblins vs Gnomes, with his RNG-heavy Boom Bots frustrating players around the world.
Dr Boom is back as a Mad Genius, and this time he’s got armor! He’s still a 7/7, except it’s his mana cost and armor gain this time. Like Frost Lich Jaina he has a tribal effect, giving all Mechs Rush for the rest of the game.
His hero power costs two mana, and it’s called the Big Red Button—at least in the collection. It changes every turn to one of five hero powers.
The hero power each turn will be completely random, but it will change every turn. It varies from armor, to damage, to Discovering a Mech—on first glance, the Discover looks the most powerful.
Dr Boom will return to Hearthstone when the expansion releases on Aug. 7.
