The Boomsday Project is Hearthstone’s next expansion, and it’s just around the corner now.

Necrium Vial is a five mana Rogue spell. When played, it triggers the Deathrattle of a chosen friendly minion twice. This is the fourth Deathrattle card for Rogue revealed so far, and the second that triggers a Deathrattle early.

Clearly, this indicates support for the archetype. Unearthed Raptor created a nice spot for the deck, but time will tell if these cards also enjoy a measure of popularity. Certainly the combos possible with this card are totally nuts—think Carnivorous Cube—but generally these sorts of decks are just beaten out by faster or more consistent options.

The Boomsday Project is the second expansion of the current Standard year, the Year of the Raven. It will add 135 new cards to the game, including new keywords like Magnetic. It is currently available to pre-order, with all the cards becoming available on Aug. 7.
