Monster Hunter: World has been released for barely a week and it’s dominated the gaming community. In fact, I dreamed about it last night, for the third time since last Friday. That’s saying something. Late yesterday, Capcom pushed out its latest update to address some nagging issues. Xbox One users in particular will be happy with the improvements.

Monster Hunter: World Patch 1.03
The patch notes for the 1.03 update to Monster Hunter: World are not earth-shattering, and the patch itself weighed in at less than 100MB. The most important fixes improve matchmaking conditions for Xbox One users and address issues with Bounty point counters.
If you’re not sure what bounties are, you really should read our guide on registering for bounties before you head out on any expeditions!
Here are the patch notes:
Major changes for Xbox One
- Fixed all matchmaking functionality issues for Xbox One players, including “Matchmake”, “Filter Search”, “Squad Sessions Session” and “Respond to SOS”.
Major changes for PS4 and Xbox One
- Fixed a rare issue with gathering points and bounties not working correctly; points counter were not updating correctly.
- Fixed two issues with the Hunting Horn:
- Players would sometimes be unable to dodge-cancel while playing an Encore.
- The initial shockwave blast when playing a song sometimes wouldn’t happen.
There you have it, folks! Nothing major was tweaked and all your previous tactics of fighting the various monsters in Monster Hunter: World will still apply.
