Good Old Games, the sales arm of CD Projekt, are having a sale. Not just any old sale either, but a Most Wanted Games Sale. What this means is that the top 150 most wishlisted (not a real word, by the way) games on GOG are currently on sale. It is certainly an interesting way to pick sale items, and is a very smart move given that it basically just discounting things that people are telling you they want. GOG announced the start of the sale in a news post on their site:
Many out of ten gamers agree: a healthy wishlist is key to a happy lifestyle. Case in point, we just launched a sale on over one hundred fifty of the most wishlisted games and DLC on GOG.COM. That’s not the only reason to have a wishlist – give a few pointers to your friends, family, and rich internet strangers; accidentally send it to all your contacts (oops); or if you’re waiting for the sale, which you are, we’ll let you know when it’s time to spend some cash (it’s now).
There are a lot of very good games enjoying nice discounts. The Witcher 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Hyper Light Drifter, The Witness, Grim Dawn and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun are all games I would absolutely recommend, if you don’t already own them.
The sale will run until April 23, with the list of discounted games being static. This means if you see a game you want, at a price you like, but don’t have the money until payday, you can snap up the game even on the very last day of the sale. I’m off to have a good look through the entire list of games, GOG tends to have a lot of stuff I used to play in my younger years. It’s always nice to venture back and explore the games that made us all fans of the medium.
