A new DLC for Prey is available right now. Mooncrash lets you hone your skills on Mars in ever-changing and dynamic simulations. Prey: Typhon Hunter, a competitive multiplayer game mode in which one player plays as a Mimic, was also announced. It will be available in VR and include a singleplayer component.
Prey was one of our favorite single-player games of 2017. Prey: Mooncrash is a new DLC just announced at the Bethesda Showcase at E3 and is available right now. In it, the player will visit the moon and take part in a simulation to defeat a large variety of enemies. Each attempt will be dynamic and different that the previous one.
While Prey: Mooncrash doesn’t seem like a full story-based addition to the original game, it is a great way to hone your skills. This will come in particularly handy when Bethesda releases Prey: Typhon Hunter.
In this merely teased game mode, players will take on one of their own who will play in the form of a Mimic. In case you don’t remember, those are the creepy black things that can turn into every day objects, like coffee mugs or computer monitors. This competitive game mode will have your friends try to hunt you down as you try to hide and, let’s be honest, scare the ever-living daylights out of them.
Also announced was that Prey: Typhon Hunter would be playable in VR and include a single-player component. The thought of the jump scares of Prey occuring in virtual reality is creeping me out already. More details about Prey: Typhon Hunter will surely follow later this year.
