EA Sports UFC 3 Icon Edition
Demetrious Johnson as the cover athlete for the EA Sports UFC 3 Icon Edition was a no-brainer. He is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet with 11 consecutive title defenses, the record, and he’s a prominent Twitch streamer who has done an admirable job of carving out a name for himself in the video game industry.
However, the Icon Edition also includes other fighters, such as Tito Ortiz, Matt Sera, Wanderlei Silva, Mirko Cro Cop, and Kimbo Slice. While that’s a cool lineup, it’s also an odd one. Matt Sera is the only person who is still associated with the UFC if I recall correctly, and some of these names are connected to Bellator now, the UFC’s biggest competitor. Dana White must draw up some bulletproof contracts.
The Icon Edition also includes one permanent champion and one move in UFC Ultimate Team that players can choose from. The list of available fighters includes Demetrious Johnson, Conor McGregor, Joanna Jedrzejczk, Georges St-Pierre, and Anderson Silva.
