For Honor is about smacking people about the head and body with various weapons. People have rather embraced the concept and For Honor has become a bit of a hit for Ubisoft, with a passionate and engaged player base. The new season (all games seem to have seasons now) starts up on August 2, for those of you who like that sort of thing.

Storm and Fury will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on the same day, meaning all players will have access to the update, and new content, at the same time. There will be a new map called Secluded Keep. This map will be available in Tribute, Skirmish, Elimination, Brawl and Duel game modes.

Two Heroes, the Warden and the Valkyrie, will be getting reworks “to improve the versatility and efficiency of their respective move sets.” There will also be two new divisions introduced to the ranking system. Master and Grand Master will be for the fiercest of warriors. A new Ranking Leaderboard will allow players to track their progress, and players will also be able to join Ranked Duel matches outside of Tournaments.

Those looking for more details on For Honor Season VII: Storm and Fury can tune-in to For Honor’s Warrior’s Den live stream on August 2 at 9 a.m. PT/ 6 p.m. ET and participate in Twitch Drops. Players are guaranteed one scavenger crate after a half hour of watching the stream, and for every 10 minutes, they are entered for a chance to win 100,000 Steel.

For Honor will be part of Xbox’s Games with Gold and will be available for free to download for Xbox Live Gold members from August 16 to September 15. The game will also be available on the Microsoft Store with an 80% discount.

So, sharpen your swords and polish up your helmets, a whole new season of murderous fighting is on the way.
