As you might know, rapper Soulja Boy has started selling his own video game consoles, although his efforts are totally illegal.
He is indeed selling consoles that run emulators filled with copyrighted Nintendo, Capcom and more devs’ PlayStation, NeoGeo, PC, Sega, Game Boy Advance and NES titles.
On top of that, the consoles are rebranded versions of other consoles you can already find on Amazon and are being sold at a much higher prices. (via)
You can have a handheld version or a home version at over $300, down from an even higher standard price of $638,98, which is rather crazy if you consider what’s on offer.
As reported by GameRant, we now have an estimate of how many consoles have been sold at this stage.
The rapper has tweeted he has sold over 5 million game consoles until today, although he deleted the tweet before websites could embed it (or Nintendo and all the others could notice its bizarre endeavours).
Looking at his intentions to get in the esports business in 2019, he might be willing to regularize his position by, well, simply stop selling that stuff.
We’ll update you as soon as more happens.
