In an interview with GamesIndustry International, analyst Michael Pachter claimed that “a new BioShock game” is set to be released in 2020.
The analyst reported that Take-Two’s studios are going to announce two new major releases in the next couple years.
And those two major releases are coming from a developer working on the next BioShock and Rockstar Games
A third title, the next Borderlands, is going to be announced in a similar time frame, although that’s quite a given since Gearbox has hinted at a new episodes so many times it’s almost official.
“We will get major game announcements from Take-Two. I think we’ll hear about a new BioShock game and a new title from Rockstar, both for 2020,” Pachter says.
“It would be cheating to say that the company will announce Borderlands, since it will probably happen before this article is published.”
At this moment, we don’t have any particular rumors about the next BioShock, although in April 2018 Kotaku has reported a new game is in the making at a 2K studio in Novato, very close to Hangar 13’s location.
