Respawn Entertainment has disabled the Apex Legends Valentine’s Day Skins on Xbox One as they were causing crashes on the Xbox One.
Respawn Entertainment has announced via Twitter that the new update released today for Apex Legends has caused some performance issue on the Xbox One. Thankfully, the cause of the problem has been identified, and they are the three new Skins that are available for free to the players (Valentine Day event); Through the Heart Valentines DMR skin, Gibraltar’s Daemon Hunter and Neural Net skins. As a temporary fix, Respawn has disabled these skins. Strangely, this issue affects Xbox One, and not PlayStation 4 and PC.
“Hey everyone, Unfortunately, we discovered an issue with the Through the Heart Valentines DMR skin, Gibraltar’s Daemon Hunter and Neural Net skins that are causing crashes on Xbox One. As we investigate and address the issue, we are disabling these skins. They are still available on PC and PS4.” said Respawn community manager on Reddit. “Sorry for the issue and we’ll keep you updated when fixes go live.”

That’s not all; Respawn Entertainment is also investing another major issue reported by the players; unable to use the unlockable Caustic and Mirage characters. Once again, this issue affects Xbox One, and not PlayStation 4 and PC.
We’re aware of the reports of players unable to use Caustic or Mirage after unlocking on Xbox One and investigating. Will update when we have more info.

We expect Respawn to fix these issues as soon as possible.
If you are among one of those players who is experiencing these issues, then expect to download few more Apex Legends update/fix later today. Respawn is hard at work on the fixes, and they may go live at any time later today.
In addition to the Valentine’s Day themed-content, the Apex Legends first update improved overall performance of the game (improve server stability and performance) and made changes to the User Interface. Take a look at the official Patch Notes.
Apex Legends is off to a great start, in just a week time the game has crossed 25 million downloads, peak concurrent user record of over 2 million. These numbers are going to get bigger and better with each passing week.
The first Battle Pass for Apex Legends will launch in March 2019; it will add new heroes and other new content.
