Pauline is the latest new character to be added in Mario Tennis Aces.

Pauline has existed since the original Donkey Kong arcade game; she was the original damsel-in-distress for Mario to save. She most recently has developed a new fanbase, having a starring role in Super Mario Odyssey. In Odyssey she was the mayor of New Donk City, and is a stunning singer to boot.

Mario Tennis Aces is the latest Mario Tennis game. It was released worldwide last summer, but it continues to get updates. Several new characters have been added in the game. Pauline is the latest new addition to the game.

The trailer shows how Pauline plays in the game, while the catchy “Jump Up, Super Star!” from Super Mario Odyssey plays in the background. She is a speedy character, who can twirl and dash her way to hit the ball. Her special shot has her summon a New Donk City building from below, rising on top, and jumps to hit the ball towards her opponent.

You can unlock Pauline early if you play the online tournament that will happen in between March 1 and March 31. You can also wait, as she will become available to everyone on April 1.
