In a reveal trailer that was unleashed early today, NetherRealm Studios have unveiled a new character for the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 11.

Noob Saibot is returning to the franchise in MK 11. Noob was the original Sub-Zero in the first Mortal Kombat game. He perished by Scorpion’s hands and was reborn as a wraith. His brother will take over the mantle of Sub-Zero, while Noob himself became one of the franchise’s most recurring villains.

Note that the video below is extremely violent, and may not be for those the faintest of hearts. Even compared to more outrageously violent trailers in MK 11, Noob Saibot has always been one of the most brutal fighters in the series.

After skipping out on Mortal Kombat X, Noob Saibot returns to the series and brings with him his shadow. His shadow is a separate being that Noob summons and controls from within his body.

A newly added feature for Noob in Mortal Kombat 11 is that he now has a deadly sickle. He is shown slicing his enemies with this new weapon, making him more lethal than ever before.

Noob Saibot was one of the most in-demand characters for Mortal Kombat 11. Fans were upset to see him absent in Mortal Kombat X, so seeing him be part of the base roster in Mortal Kombat 11 will no doubt make many fans happy. His debut trailer did the character justice; he has never looked this deadly before!

Mortal Kombat 11 is expected to be released on April 23.
