During the latest earnings call with investors, Sony has shared all the details about PS4 sales and PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

As we’ve already shared from the same conference, the company has also revealed PlayStation Now subs data, and that it won’t be revealing PS5 in the current fiscal year ending on March 21, 2020.

PlayStation 4 shipments have reached 96.8 million by March 31, 2019. In the third quarter of its fiscal year, the console has seen 2.6 million shipments, up 0.1 million from the same period last FY.

Shipments are slightly declining at 17.8 million, down 1.2 million from the fiscal year 2017 but with 0.3 million more units in comparison with the original forecast.

In the fiscal year 2019, Sony plans on shipping 16 million PS4 (between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020), so for the time when PS5 gets officially launched the current gen console should reach around 113 million units shipped.

PlayStation Plus has reached 36.4 million subscribers as of March 31, 2019, up 2.2 million from the previous FY.

We’ll need to see whether the new structure of the free games lineup, with only two PS4 titles now, will have an impact over the next fiscal year or not in terms of subs.

It’s also worth noting that PlayStation 4 software sold 54.7 million units in the fourth quarter, which is up 2.7 million from the previous fiscal year. Interestingly, 45% of those games were full game software digital download (+2 percent).
