This year’s Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago is taking place from June 13 to the 16.
It did not take long for this to happen. On April 30, eager fans had obtained all of the Saturday tickets. Niantic sold the tickets through lots, where potential winners had to check their email or the Pokemon Go in-app events tab to see if they had gotten chosen for a rare opportunity to get the chance to purchase a ticket.
With all of the tickets sold, it’s unlikely those who have not already purchased a ticket are going to get to the chance to attend. Those who do can look forward to four-days filled with Pokemon Go activities. Those who attend can expect the opportunity to chase after rare Pokemon they usually wouldn’t find in their area, and some Pokemon Go Fest-themed events are happening at the same time.
A European Pokemon Go Fest is happening in Westfalenpark in Dortmund, Germany, from July 4 to the 7. As of right now, you cannot purchase tickets to attend the Dortmund one. However, on May 13, you’ll have the chance to enter your email for a chance to place your name forward into a drawing. It’ll work similarly to how the tickets for the Chicago event worked, where names are randomly selected. General tickets are going to be priced for 25 €, and you can also purchase Early Access tickets for 35 €.
Make sure you’re actively following the Pokemon Go Fest Dortmund page at this link to stay in the loop. You’ll also want to place your name forward for the opportunity to have the chance to purchase a ticket when the service goes live on May 13. You’ll need to check your primary email for the game, that email’s spam folder, and open up the in-game Events tab to see if you were given access when ticket sales go live.
