Rage 2 reviews are available today, and thanks to them we can have an early idea about what to expect from the game releasing tomorrow, May 14, 2019, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

These are the first reviews posted by the main outlets out there, of course waiting on us to check our and more detailed opinion about the title from id Software and Avalanche Studios:

  • USgamer – 4/5
  • Gamespot – 6
  • IGN – 8
  • Game Informer – 7
  • GamesRadar+ – 3/5
  • Shacknews – 5
  • Destructoid – 8
  • PCGamesN – 7
  • Attack of the Fanboy – 3.5/5
  • Hobby Consolas [Spanish] – 77/100
  • Jeuxvideo [French] – 17/20

So, as you can see, the range of scores is going quite as up as it is going down at times, but it, sure enough, looks like it is doing a solid average.

Indeed, on Metacritic, Rage 2 is being awarded a 76/100 on PlayStation 4, slightly below on PC and Xbox One, where it has achieved a 73/100 at the time being.

Considering it is a single-player game doing all fun things just for fun, so without any particular narrative ambition, it seems to be an overall good reception for the Bethesda published game.

On top of that, it’s a sequel to a title that released ages ago and without being too much praised by critics, so as a revival it looks like it’s doing its job rather well after all.

Are you going to buy it tomorrow, on day one? Let us know in the comments below.
