Square Enix has shared more information about the sales of its most anticipated titles, revealing that Kingdom Hearts III is performing rather well as expected.

We never had doubts about that particular game, since it’s based on Disney properties, so it has a lot of resonance in the media and was also highly anticipated, being a title from such popular franchise that had fans all over the world eagerly waiting for a conclusion of the saga.

Interestingly, Square Enix pointed out, during the usual meeting with investors for the end of the fiscal year, that it’ll keep making efforts to have DLC out for the existing game and promoting other things to monetize this success further.

On top of that, it was shared that Nier Automata has now managed to sell 4 million copies, also thanks to the launch on Xbox One and that Octopath Traveler keeps performing strongly even before shipping on PC this summer.

What’s disappointing in terms of commercial performance is Left Alive, a survival stealth game built in cooperation with Kojima Productions’ Yoji Shinkawa. That was quite predictable, too, since the title never looked as brilliant as you could anticipate looking at Shinkawa’s curriculum vitae.

It’ll be interesting to see when Final Fantasy VII Remake is dropping if it does it in time for next year or not, and how it gets received, although we don’t have any doubts, it’ll be a commercial success. We have more doubts about the gameplay side of things, but time will tell, and the time will finally come at E3 2019 in June.
