Anyway, it looks like Tim Willits, the boss at the studio of DOOM, is willing to have a sequel (Rage 3) right away, possibly without waiting so much before we get to put our hands on it.
“I hope so,” Willits told The Hollywood Reporter about chances that a sequel gets actually made.
“Yes, is the answer to that question. We’ve always loved this franchise because it’s such a fun setting. We can do what we want. We were once talking about riding on giant cockroaches. What other game can you have a conversation where that’s a legitimate conversation you can have?!.”
Of course, it’ll depend on how Rage 2 performs in terms of sales and engagement on the long term, but looking at how other games from both id and Bethesda have been received in the past, we think we could get a Rage 3 relatively soon.
“It’s a crazy, fun, exciting franchise,” he added, “and I hope we can make a third one as soon as possible.”
