Tales of Arise, the next entry in the Tales series, has leaked along with Elden Ring and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. More details are expected at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
A new game in the Tales series, called Tales of Arise, is on the way, according to a leak. While that may not be a huge surprise (Bandai Namco confirmed it last year), the graphical upgrade for the series may be.
Gematsu reports that they received files that were mistakenly revealed to the public on Bandai Namco’s servers, confirming the game. These included screenshots which appear to show at least a partially open-world, with a much higher-fidelity style than previous entries in the series.
The site also included a description of the game:
On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.
Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.
Key Features
- The Next Chapter – Experience the next chapter in the Tales of series, brought to life in stunning HD powered by Unreal Engine 4.
- Dynamic Action – Dynamic Action RPG featuring an updated battle system that retains classic Tales of gameplay.
- Stunning Visuals – High quality animation created by ufotable.
Also from the graphical upgrade, it seems likely that Tales of Arise won’t stray too far from the series’ roots. The description touts “classic Tales of gameplay mechanics,” which suggests that it will continue the series’ mix of real-time and turn-based combat.
Along with Tales of Arise, the leak included information about a remaster and port of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for PS4, PC, and Switch, along with Elden Ring, the long-rumored collaboration between George R.R. Martin and From Software.
Tales of Arise and Elden Ring are likely to show up at Microsoft’s E3 press conference on Sunday. Ni No Kuni could be there as well, or at Nintendo’s presentation on Tuesday.
