At E3 2019, Microsoft revealed Project Scarlett, and at that event, we also learned that it is going to be one single console instead of two, as it was rumored back in the days before the event. Microsoft has been relatively quite on specifics, but has provided us with an idea of where the next-gen console is heading.

One of the things that have not been discussed at E3 was the design of the platform, how it will actually look like when it releases in holiday 2020.

In a recent interview, head of Xbox Phil Spencer has discussed that, although sharing that nothing has been finalized yet on that topic.

“At some point, we’ll show what it looks like,” he said. “The physical ID is not done. I know what it’s gonna look like. It’s gonna be–I think it’s a cool-looking, new thing, which will be interesting. But we don’t have a final ID done.”

“It’s not like we’re going to put a half-done ID out there and say, ‘This is kind of what it will look like.’ That’s not really the thing that’s going to drive purchase decision,” Spencer added, basically confirming that the idea behind this teasers is just to inform customers and give them the first look at the philosophy behind the project, not the 100% details.

One of the things which has not been discussed yet is the price, and it’ll be really important when it comes to release the console next year as Xbox One has fundamentally lost big market shares throughout the current generation because of a bad decision back in 2013 about that.
