We’ve already reported about rumors of The Last of Us Part II releasing in February 2020 in the past, and here we are again with more evidence about that. The game is expected to drop at some point next year but this time around we have insistent clues about the month of launch being February.

As translated by ResetEra’s ZhugeEX (aka analyst Daniel Ahmed), the game has been listed by a Chinese retailer for a February 2020 release on PlayStation 4. While we don’t know this retailer being reliable, sure enough, it looks quite a coincidence it is pointing at February 2020 too.
On top of that, the website also reports about four editions for the incoming game, which include a standard, a limited, a collector’s and an Ellie Edition. We do not know the content for these editions, but this is in line with Death Stranding’s, and most of all the original The Last of Us had an Ellie Edition as well.
As per the latest reliable rumor, shared by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, the game has been internally delayed for some reason, perhaps just for the sake of avoiding Death Stranding‘s release on November 8, 2019, and then the February 2020 release window might’ve been appointed, even though Scheier said he knew about a more generic early 2020 at first.
We don’t need to remark how much this title is anticipated at the time being, since it’s the sequel to one of the most appreciated PlayStation exclusive games ever, and is part of three PS4 exclusives that are eagerly awaited among fans, including the above-mentioned Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima.
