Take-Two has announced today that a brand new Sci-fi shooter, Disintegration will be shown off next month at Gamescom. Published by Private Division, Disintegration is the debut title of the indie studio V1 Interactive; a studio co-founded by Marcus Lehto who was once a creative director at Bungie and co-creator of Halo. While the trailer doesn’t give us much, there is still quite a disconcerting tone.

“The opportunity to create not only a new game but this entire studio has been exhilarating,” said Marcus Lehto, President and Game Director at V1 Interactive. “It is great to be able to share what this amazing team has been working on, and we can’t wait to introduce this new game that our team is building to the world next month.”

Michael Worosz, executive vice president and head of Private Division goes on to speak about how they’ve been with V1 Interactive since the studio was created in 2014 and the worldwide influence Lehto has had on the industry.

V1 Studios is described as a team of “AAA tempered veterans and young passionate talent” “Founded by the co-creators of Halo and Socom.” They’ve got quite the pedigree; it’ll be exciting to see what they’ve been working for the last half a decade.

Disintegration’s reveal is August 19th and is slated for release in 2020.
