More local coop goodness with words!
Jackbox and their party packs are all about having a good time with friends playing wacky and outrageous games together. These can happen on the couch or via stream, with only your imagination as a limitation to their games.
For the upcoming Jackbox Party Pack 6, we already knew that the game would include Murder Trivia Party 2, the sequel to one of the best games from the 3rd Party Pack. The next game is called Dictionarium.
The game is all about words to include in the dictionary. The first round’s objective is to create and define new words for the dictionary, with points offered for the players whose answer receives the most votes. In the second round, players create synonyms of the definition for the word that got the most votes last round. Players vote for their favored interpretation. In the final round, players craft a sentence to articulate the widespread usage of the word. The sentence with the most votes wins. All of the scores get tallied at the end.
While there’s slightly more room for silliness compared to Quiplash, making words and definitions sounds like a fantastic idea for a more fast-paced game. It makes for a great way to work with “in-jokes,” making it great for parties with best friends and streamings with dedicated communities. Dictionarium supports 3-8 players, so it looks like an excellent choice for streamers with smaller communities to help integrate viewers into their play.
Here’s Dictionarium explained by the wacky devs at Jackbox Games themselves.
Jackbox Party Pack 6 releases on all major platforms this fall.
