Sony announced that the incoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game Concrete Genie releases on Oct. 8, 2019. At the same time, Sony revealed that the game, currently in the making at San Diego’s studio Pixelopus, comes with a photo mode on day one.
The photo mode has a twist when compared to other games.
“A timelapse style ‘Replay’ that allows you to show how you put your artistic compositions together,” Dominic Robillard explained, the Creative Director of the first-party team.
Interestingly, the game releases in two digital versions, one priced at $29,99 and the other at $39,99. The second, a Digital Deluxe, drops with a dynamic theme for the PlayStation 4, the digital soundtrack and art book, and the pond design pack.
The digital art book features a ton of stunning development images created by Art Director Jeff Sangalli and their art team. While Sam Marshall composes the OST, and the pond design pack expands the player’s design toolset.
Pre-order is available now. It unlocks avatars, a unique Dynamic Theme featuring a rooftop scene from Denska, and exclusive music composed by Sam Marshall. Both the versions include two PlayStation VR modes.
Concrete Genie releases on Oct. 8, 2019.
