We have news for those who enjoy elaborate puzzle adventures with a cast of colorful, joyful heroes. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is releasing on Oct. 8 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The game is getting developed by Frozenbyte, the ones who worked on the first three Trine games. The latest one is going to bring back the original trio, Amadeus the wizard, the lawful knight Pontius, and the sneaky thief Zoya. These three are returning to assist their friend Prince Selius, whose ghoulish nightmares have leaked into the real world and are wreaking havoc all across reality.

This installment is going to see the return of the franchise’s iconic 2.5D perspective. The developers attempted to try something new with the third game, attempting a modern, fully 3D gameplay style. However, this did not take as well, and some fans we’re a bit disappointed with the results. So, fans should look forward to the latest installment to return to the franchise’s roots.

The new feature to come to the new game is an online cooperative mode. Players can jump into the game with their friends to join forces to make those complex puzzles far less frightening. It’s going to feature four-player co-op, so bring as many friends as you can to help tackle these challenges together.

Additionally, this is not the only Trine game getting released on Oct. 8.

Trine: The Ultimate Collection is releasing on the same day, and it includes all three of the Trine games, along with the brand new one. Those who have never played the original games have the chance to amend this while getting into the new one.

Both games are available in physical and digital copies.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is going for $29.99, and Trine: The Ultimate Collection is worth $49.99. You can pre-order them and get ready to scratch your head in these puzzle-solving adventures on Oct. 8.
