Even though the other hat wearing Pikachus are gone, you have two extra days to catch detective hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO.
While all the other hat-wearing Pikachu might be gone, you have two extra days to catch detective hat Pikachu in Pokemon GO. You have until Aug. 13, 10 AM JST.

For the last week, different hat-wearing Pikachus have been appearing each day. Of all the choices, only the detective hat Pikachu is getting an extended time. This extension is probably because of the Detective Pikachu movie recently settings records for both the critical and commercial success of a video game tie-in movie.
You can catch detective hat Pikachu by walking around and playing the game. He is a random spawn. You do not need to do anything specific to summon him. Once he does, catch him your Pokeball to add him to your collection. Also, keep in mind there is no shiny detective hat Pikachu.
There have been quite a few events happening in Pokemon GO recently. We still have the rewards from Blanche’s challenges from Pokemon GO Fest Yokohama to go. The challenges and rewards are listed below:
- Go Fest attendees-Complete 2 million research tasks for tripled Stardust upon capture
- Team Instinct—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per raid
- Team Valor—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for tripled hatch Stardust
- Team Mystic—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for 1-hour Star Pieces
The above challenges were all achieved. In doing so, the attendees at the Yokohama Pokemon GO Fest unlocked the chance for everyone to catch a shiny Suicune during the upcoming Suicune Raid day, on Aug. 17.
