In a Reddit thread, a user has shared the first hands on details about Nintendo Switch Lite, having had the chance to play a bit with it in a storage room of a large store in New York City. Those particulars are rather interesting if you consider that this is the first time players have the chance to learn more about the console from not official sources.
In a Reddit thread, user, cocqi, shared their first hands-on details about Nintendo Switch Lite, having had the chance to play a bit with it in a storage room of a large store in New York City. Those particulars are rather amusing if you consider that this is the first time players have the chance to learn more about the console from not official sources.
According to cocqi, “the device feels very sturdy” and “very solid,” while the ABXY buttons “are different,” “kinda mushy or squishy.” Instead, ZL ZR LR are the same as the previous models of the hybrid console; sticks are instead “a bit too solid for my likings.”
The DPAD “feels similar to the pro controller dpad but feels more accurate,” which is something I think people have been longing for while playing the original Switch. Volume buttons have been incorporated into only one “with some sensor,” while volume “doesn’t sound as good as the other Switch, but it’s alright.”
As for the production materials, the user claims that “the plastic feels very premium and the screen looks great,” even though for “some smaller text” he had to “hold it closer to my face.” For what matters the colors, he suggests to get it “gray, the black bezels are very contrasting in comparison to the colors of the other ones.”
You can read more over here on Reddit, but the overall impressions about the Nintendo Switch Lite, which is releasing on September 20, 2019, say that it’s a “cute little device (…) not incredible but still nice.” Are you satisfied with this first hands-on or you were expecting something more from the newest Switch model?
