Castle Crashers, the popular multiplayer game starring small knights, finally has a release date for the Nintendo Switch. A PlayStation 4 version will follow soon after.

Castle Crashers is an action-adventure game developed by The Behemoth. Up to four players can play the game together, and your main goal is to travel a strange land and save some princesses from an evil wizard. You play as knights, who each have their own unique abilities and can level up.

The game was initially released on the Xbox 360 back in 2008, before being ported onto PC and the PlayStation 3. A remastered version of the game was later ported to the Xbox One. The game was well-received for its art style, addicting combat, and its crude sense of humor.

Back in March, it was revealed that Castle Crashers Remastered will be ported to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. After the initial announcement, not much information on the new ports has been revealed.

Today, during PAX, The Behemoth finally revealed the release date for Castle Crashers for the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version of the game is now slated to release on September 17. On Behemoth’s Twitter account, it is also revealed that the PS4 version will be coming soon after.
