We’re quite used to street dates getting broken for what matters software, but what about hardware? It looks like that’s happening, too.

We’re used to street dates getting broken for software, but what about hardware? It looks we’re getting those dates, too.

Eight days away from the launch of Nintendo Switch Lite, the console has seen its street date of Sept. 20, broken at several retailers in the United States.

As remarked by VGC, we’re getting multiple reports on social media of the Nintendo Switch Lite’s street date. In particular, Walmart is already selling the console without issue – although the terminals in the stores should block the transactions.

Initially, only models in the yellow color were for sale. However, at a later hour, they also had all the colors available for the Nintendo Switch Lite.

It’s rather unusual, but we sure think while Nintendo might not appreciate this, fans in the United States will be glad to hear it. Many may go over to Walmart to see for themselves what’s happening, and maybe grab a console before Sept. 20, too.

Nintendo Switch Lite is sporting, among other things, a brand new D-Pad which will remain exclusive to the console. The D-pad won’t be coming to any other Joy-Con around for the different two Switch model currently available.
