Bungie releases the official launch trailer for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is one week away. We can hardly keep ourselves in our seat as we eagerly await its arrival, and neither can Bungie. Earlier today they released an official launch trailer for the next expansion, which introduces an array of new content to the game.
You can check out the trailer below in its full glory.
Destiny 2 players are going to find themselves back on the moon, an iconic destination from the first game. While the game is going to introduce a brand new location for Guardians to explore, it comes with a vast amount of content. It’s going to leave players spinning during their first day back in the game.
Not only is there a new dungeon, but there’s also going to be a new raid, new PvP content in the crucible with new maps and game modes, retrofitted armor, deadly weapons, and a new threat on the horizon. For those who picked up Destiny 2 and fell off, now’s a great time to get back into it with the introduction of this sea of gameplay.
Why is Bungie making a massive deal out of this latest expansion? Not only is it redefining the game from the ground since the title first launched, but it’s Bungie’s official outing of content since they left Activision. Previously, Activision had been helping the Bungie team produce the game and publish it. Bungie left the agreement and decided to work on it as a single entity. This departure was many months ago, and now, it has to prove they can stand on their own.
Some players might be wondering if Bungie can do it. However, if the official launch trailer and hype for Shadowkeep has anything to say about its chances, they’re outstanding.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep officially launches on Oct. 1. You can pre-order it right now. If you haven’t picked up Destiny 2 yet, you can grab it for $25, and then grab Shadowkeep for $40. Players who get the base game for $25 are going to have access to all of the content that’s come before Shadowkeep and a few other things from the Destiny 2: New Light program so everyone can play together. But those who purchase the Shadowkeep expansion are going to have access to everything Bungie releases for the update.
