Riot Games are rumored to be revealing a League of Legends anime later today, as part of their 10th Anniversary celebration stream on Twitch.
In a day for apparently endless news about League of Legends, rumors abound that Riot Games will be revealing a League of Legends anime during their 10th-anniversary livestream later today.
Riot Games is also developing an ANIME set in the world of League of Legends, also to be announced today at their 10th anniversary event, sources tell me

E-sports industry insider Rod Breslau tweeted the news earlier today. We have seen video games become anime series before, so this wouldn’t exactly be an industry first. What could be interesting is the format the anime takes.
Will it based strictly within the world of the game, focusing on the history and the development of relationships between various characters that so many people know? An alternative is that it follows a group of players in their efforts to win a tournament.
Interestingly, this has been hinted at before, with the Season 2019: A New Journey music video. I think you could do a lot with that format, and it might lead to a very interesting show, falling into line with the style of sports animes like Ace of Diamond and Slam Dunk.
Out of the various rumors that have come flooding out today in the run-up to the 10th Anniversary stream later, this is the most surprising, and potentially the most interesting because of that.
The stream will be taking place about 12 hours from now, at 6 pm PDT. You will be able to watch the stream on the official Riot Twitch Channel.
