A new Mario Kart Tour update gives players details about the new Halloween tour releasing on October 22.
Mario Kart Tour has a brand new tour update coming out on Oct. 22, and it’s all about Halloween. While it is a festive occasion, Nintendo is highlighting the arrival of Luigi’s Mansion 3, which releases on Oct. 31, with the arrival of Mario’s brother, Luigi. Three other drivers are coming out with the update too, but Luigi has been a big one since the game first launched.
You can check out all of the information regarding the update below in a quick video. The video gets broken down by Lakitu, who provides the highlights of the Halloween tour. Players can expect an array of new challenges they need to complete to unlock more currency and badges during the tour, along with three new haunted courses.
The other drivers getting added the game beyond Luigi are Baby Luigi, Waluigi, and King boo. These four characters are not tour exclusive, meaning they’re going to get added to the extensive array of pipe items players can receive throughout Mario Kart Tour‘s lifetime.
The next series of drivers, however, are tour exclusive. They include Rosalina in a Halloween costume. Her frenzy ability creates these massive blue star outlines players need to pass through during the course to get ahead. The rings serve as a physical red mushroom, allowing players to zip into first place.
The other character is King Boo from Luigi’s Mansion. Unlike the previous King Boo, this exclusive King boog comes with a darker purple shade, and a large purple crown with a crystal on top. King Boo’s frenzy ability gives him a massive cannon he can fire out ba-bombs out of to make short work of any competition ahead of him.
New exclusive Halloween tour items are featuring new gliders and vehicles for players to collect during this rotation. Players have two weeks to gain access to these items.
We’ve slowly been learning these details for the better part of a week, with the official Mario Kart Tour Twitter account giving them out at a steady rate. Now, we have them all confirmed and in one place. Expect the Halloween tour to drop on Oct. 22 at 11pm PST. Good luck, drivers.
