The Kuva Lich system introduced with The Old Blood update will be going through some welcome changes in an upcoming update.
As much as I am enjoying the Kuva Lich system in Warframe, it is undoubtedly not without issue. This is often the way with Warframe, as new content gets refined over several hotfixes after release. We have already seen plenty of changes to the Kuva Lich system, but a recent Dev Workshop has revealed that even more are on the way.
From now on, you will no longer be able to get a Kuva Lich with the same weapon, twice in a row. If several Kraken-carrying Kuva Liches have afflicted you, then this is good news. Kuva Liches will no longer spawn with the same weapon twice in a row, meaning you should see more variety when it comes to the weapons you can get through the system.
Defiled Requiem Mods will now have more use than just turning into Endo. You will be able to Transmute four Defiled Requiem Mods into a new, fully charged, Requiem Mod. This should cut down on the Mod grind a little.
You will also be able to trade Converted Liches with other players, which certainly sounds interesting. The Dev Workshop also promises more tweaks and balances, and I hope to see a return of the entire squad getting some Murmur progress when a squadmate tries to take out their Lich. Ever since that little bug was removed, there has been a bit of a negative effect on people working together, which is a shame. Sometimes bugs should become features.
The Kuva Lich system is one of my favorite additions to the game in some time, and I hope to see the rough edges smoothed out. It has done a great job of pulling me back into the game.
