Creepy Launch Trailer for Sole Stadia-Exclusive Launch Title, GYLT, Unveiled

The launch trailer for the Stadia-exclusive game GYLT has arrived ahead of the game’s launch next week.

Google’s video game streaming platform, Stadia, is set to launch on Nov. 19, alongside twelve launch titles, most of which are ports of older games that are already available on other platforms. However, a single one of Stadia’s launch titles, GYLT, is a completely new game that will be exclusive to Google’s platform, and the game’s creepy launch trailer was revealed today.

The game revolves around the protagonist looking for a missing girl named Emily, but don’t be fooled by its cartoony, childlike graphics. Along the way, the player will run into many creepy situations and put to use various tools, like a flashlight and a fire extinguisher, to defeat monsters.

GYLT is developed by the studio Tequila Works, who are known for such games as the platformer Deadlight, the puzzle-adventure game Rime, and the murder mystery The Invisible Hours, among others. GYLT will launch on Nov. 19, alongside the Stadia platform.

Google Stadia will allow players to stream games on a number of devices, including TVs, computers, and some smart phones. Each game will need to be purchased separately, even if you subscribe to the Stadia Pro service. Stadia Pro subscribers will be able to play games on the new platform at launch, but those looking to take advantage of Stadia Base, which allows players to simply buy games without subscribing, will have to wait until sometime next year.
