Technical Machines (TMs) are items that allow you to teach some new moves to your favorite Pokémon. Best of all, these TMs allow you to teach your Pokémon moves they don’t normally learn naturally, whether this is through leveling them up or breeding new Pokémon. If you are interested in building a Pokémon’s ideal moveset, you might need to find some TMs to use. Utilizing TMs will allow your Pokémon to have even wider type coverage, spread status ailments, lower and raise stats of Pokémon, and more. However, despite the importance of TMs, each TM you have can only be used once.
However, there are ways to get more copies of TMs that you already own. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have created a new crafting mechanic which allows you to create copies of TMs you found. There are over 150 TMs in the game, which means there are over 150 crafting recipes for you to discover. Each recipe requires you to find materials dropped by Pokémon in the open world. You can get these materials by defeating or catching the respective Pokémon. You’ll also need League Points, a currency earned from Team Star battles, or by selling these Pokémon materials.
After you get the materials you need, head to the Pokémon Center and find the Technical Machine Machine. This is a machine found at every Pokémon Center that allows you to craft the TM you want.
