As we get closer to February, Pokémon fans will begin wondering about Pokémon Go’s next Community Day. January’s Community Day has just passed and featured Piplup, plus plenty of bonuses to make going for a walk worth your while. Community Days are a great time to celebrate Pokémon Go and spend time with friends while you play.
When is the next Community Day?
The February Pokémon GO Community Day will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 am-1 pm local time in the northern hemisphere, and 3 pm-6 pm in the southern hemisphere.
Which Pokémon will be featured in the next Community Day?
We do not know which Pokémon will be featured yet.
Niantic is switching things up this time around, and the community will be voting on which Pokémon will be featured. You can vote for Vulpix, Rhyhorn, Dratini, or Machop. You will be able to do a special Research Task on Saturday, Feb. 1. They will simply be called “Vote Machop”, “Vote Vulpix”, “Vote Rhyhorn”, and “Vote Dratini”. You will need to complete the task for the Pokémon that you would like to see featured.
There is a lot to do in Pokémon Go while we wait for the Community Day special Pokémon to be announced. The Take-Over Continues Special Research Tasks are also available. These Special Research tasks involve Team Go Rocket, and making it through them will earn you a fight with Team Go Rocket Boss, Giovanni.
The first Research Breakthrough of the year is also currently active, involving a Lapras with Ice Shard and Ice Beam. The Lapras Research Breakthrough runs from Jan. 1 at 1pm to Feb. 1 at 1pm PST.
