This year, Microsoft will be hosting a new event called Minecraft Festival. It is planned as a massive celebration of the game, the last 10 years of progress, and of course, the game’s passionate community. The annual MINECON Live stream, where Mojang discusses the game and its future, will also be held at Minecraft Festival this year.
When is Minecraft Festival?
Minecraft Festival will begin on Friday, Sep. 25, and will end on Sunday, Sep 27. The event will be held in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.
Throughout the festival, you can expect exhibits, tournaments, the chance to mee the people who work on the game, lots of exclusive merchandise and prizes, and much more.
How to buy tickets
Tickets will go on sale at 12 noon EST on Mar. 6, and will only be available from MinecraftFestival.com. The expectation is that the tickets will sell out very quickly, as this is the first-ever Minecraft Festival. If you want to get tickets, be prepared to pounce as soon as the clock strikes twelve on Mar. 6.
When the tickets go on sale, head to the Minecraft Festival website, then click on the buy button in the right top corner. Select the ticket option you wish to purchase, then enter your billing information.
How much are tickets?
Individual daily tickets are available for $60, with a three-day ticket being available for $165. Both options will get you Exhibit Hall access, and access to panels on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can purchase a 3-Day Gold Package for $225 that will also get your early access to the Exhibit Hall and store, allow you to reserve a spot at panels, and exclusive badge art. A 3-Day Diamond Package is available for £300 that will include every from the Gold package, and access to the Diamond Lounge, an exclusive pin and lanyard, and private bag and coat check facilities.
Everyone who attends the event will also get an exclusive Minecraft Festival cape for both Java and Bedrock editions of the game.
