After being arguably gaming’s worst kept secret, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s new battle royale mode has been confirmed, and will be arriving on Mar. 10. The game will be free to play and will have a standalone download for people who don’t already own Modern Warfare.Â
If you are wondering what the minimum and recommended specs are for Warzone, then there is a pretty easy rule of thumb. If you play the main game, you will be able to play Warzone. If you don’t already own the main game, you can find the minimum and recommended specs below.
Minimum specs
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
- RAM: 8GB
- DirectX 12.0
Recommended specs
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X

Now, the important thing to keep in mind is that, with a huge map, 150 players, and plenty of vehicles, playing Warzone could very well be more of a strain on your system than the standard game would be. For now, it would be a good idea to consider how your PC performs when playing Spec Ops, as the larger maps will be the closest you can get to testing out Warzone on your build until it releases.Â
It may be necessary to do some tweaking of your settings in Warzone to get the same type of frames you would be used to on the smaller maps. For the most part, Warzone should be well within reach for the vast majority of gamers out there, make sure you are realistic about the settings you wish to run it at if it has been a while since you upgraded your PC.
