Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy begins later today. Trials is returning, there is a new threat as the Almighty plummets towards the Last City, and the game will be filled with new activities for you to take part in throughout the season.

8:00 AM PDT | 1500 UTC | Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance for Update 2.8.0.Some Destiny API features on Bungie.net, mobile and third-party apps will be disabled.Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum. |
8:45 AM PDT | 1545 UTC | Destiny 2 will be brought offline for expected maintenance. At 9 AM PDT, Update 2.8.0 will begin rolling out across all platforms and regions. Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2 at 10:01 AM PDT. |
9:00 AM PDT | 1600 UTC | Destiny 2 Update 2.8.0 will begin rolling out across all platforms and regions.Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2 at 10:01 AM PDT. |
10:01 AM PDT | 1701 UTC | Destiny 2 will be brought back online. Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing. Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum. |

The long and short of it is that Destiny 2 will be going offline at 8:45 am PDT, and will be back online at 10:01 am PDT, which is when you can jump in and play. The update itself will be available to download at 9:00 am PDT.
Remember, if you want to buy the Season of the Worthy battle pass, you will need to wait until the servers are back online, then grab it from the Eververse Store.
