How to get the Lumina Catalyst in Destiny 2

Make the Lumina even more powerful.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The Lumina is a fantastic Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2, and with the introduction of the Lumina Catalyst, you can now make it even stronger. The first thing you will need to do is have the Lumina itself, so if you have yet to finish the quest for it, then you will need to follow our guide to get it. Lumina is a very interesting weapon, as it allows you to heal and buff your team, making it a very interesting weapon for supporting your fellow Guardians.

The Lumina’s main perk is Noble Rounds. Kills with the weapon cause Remnants to drop, and picking them up will return four rounds to the magazine, and turn your next hip fired round into a Noble Round. This will track allies, and heal them when it hits them.

The Catalyst will cause two Remnants to drop, giving you two noble rounds, and eight rounds back in the magazine. This will allow you to spam heal your team, making it very difficult to kill them.

To get the Lumina Catalyst, you will need to take part in activities like Strikes, which appear to be the most common place that the Catalyst can drop. So far, many players have reported getting the Catalyst upon completion of a Strike, or from opening the chest at the end of a Strike.

To activate the Catalyst, you will need to get 250 Noble Round heals. This can be done in any activity, so play with some friends, get plenty of kills in whatever activity you are playing, and make sure to spam those Noble Rounds.
