The real secret to success in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to find activities that pay off well, then do them every day. If you want to earn a lot of Bells, and Nook Miles, then this is the best way to do it. It’s also the best way to ensure you quickly proceed through the various tasks that inhabitants will give you.
Do the Nook + Tasks
You will have five Nook + Tasks that you can do each day to get some bonus Nook Miles. Check them on your Nook Phone each morning, and then you’ll know what tasks to focus on each day.
Search your island every day
You can find all manner of interesting things on your island each day. Messages in bottles, fossils, resources, things to sell, money bags, and more. Make sure you are checking all over your island every day and not missing out on potential money and items.
Hit up the Nook Stop
Go and visit the kiosk in Resident Services each day, to earn some bonus Nook Miles. The amount you get will slowly increase to 300, and then you will get 300 Nook Miles every day.
Check the shops
If someone, or something, can sell you something, then check in with them each day to make sure you are not missing out on any good deals.
Speak with your neighbors
Make sure you talk to the Nooks, and all your neighbors, at least one a day. They will often have items to give you or useful information to make your life easier.
Kick rocks
Once a day, one of the rocks on your island could end up being a Money Rock. If you find it and mine it as you would any other rock, you can get a lot of money from it.
Find fossils
Fossils can be donated to the museum, or sold for a lot of Bells. Four of them will spawn on your island each day, so try to track them all down.
