Animal Crossing New Horizons

Should you get something new or something expensive from Wisp in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

More choices.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

If you explore your island at night time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you might just come across Wisp. The fearful little ghost gets quite the shock when you find him, and pieces of him will break off and float away.

To find the pieces, explore the island, and have your bug-catching net ready. When you see a piece floating along, grab it up with the net, then get back to exploring. You will need to find five pieces in total to make Wisp whole again.

When you have all five, return to where you found Wisp and give them to him. He will provide you with a gift, asking you to pick something new, or something expensive. Like the rest of the questions you have been asked in the game up to this point, there doesn’t seem to be a correct answer. Asking for something new, or something expensive seems to generate a random item with no real way of knowing what the will be. The expensive one will end up being worth a few more bells, and the new one will be an item that you don’t own yet.

Other than that, it’s impossible to know what you will get.
