Start them young.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is filled with interesting mechanics, but none are terrifying than playing as an actual baby. For undisclosed reasons, while creating your character, it is possible to turn them into a baby, then play the entire game as a baby.

While creating your character, after you choose culture, just hit R, and your character will become a tiny baby. This will slowly change as you work through the rest of character creation options, but at the end, your character will once again become a tiny child.

It is interesting, and surprisingly it does provide you with some advantages in the game. Your baby can do all the things a fully grown man can do, from riding a horse to swinging a massive sword.

Where the baby comes out on top is with a smaller hit-box, and the nature of Bannerlord’s combat system means almost every enemy attack that comes you way will need to be a downstroke, giving you a pretty easy way to block absolutely everything.

We don’t know at the moment what other effects this has on the game. Can your baby still grow old and die, like your other characters? Is it possible for a baby to have an heir? All these questions will need to remain unanswered until we get further into our King Baby campaign.

We will update this guide as we learn more about this secret baby mode in the future.
