This can make your win next to impossible. For overcoming these challenges especially for beginners you can go through our Dead Cells Beginners Tips and Tricks guide, where you can find a lot of helpful tips that will help you to progress with ease.
Beginners Tips & Tricks
As you begin playing the game you might die pretty often, but after some practice, you can control the player much more easily. The game has runes and these will offer you special abilities that will help you to explore new areas. Dead Cells progression system consists of improvements and blueprints. This is locked and you will need cells to unlock them. You can spend them at the end of every level and unlock new things. Cells are the white things that will pop out of enemies in the game. If you die you will lose everything. So once you have enough Cells you can spend them to unlock things.
What To Unlock First?
You will find a lot of things to buy in the game by spending Cells on them. It is necessary to understand what to get first, as you get your first blueprint in the game. You have to spend more on general improvements in Dead Cells. These upgrades will help you to get extra in healing potions, you can earn bonus gold and even find ability like recycle where you can scrap-out useless weapons. You can begin with some gears, these are weapon essentials that can be used on swords, bows, and traps. These gears will appear randomly in the battle. It is necessary to read about the gear before buying it, you can find the details in the description. Not all gears are good, so you can focus on some of them like Infantry Bow that will grant you critical hit on enemies in close range. Blood Sword is another good gear that offers you bleeding damage, etc.
Another thing you can unlock is Mutations once you get blueprints. Once you unlock them you can pick them from vendor between different levels. Depending on your play style you can prefer to go with mutations like unlocking one that can reduce cooldowns.
How To Survive?
Some bosses and enemies are tough, so you have to go slow. Avoid rushing into a fight, the first thing you need to do is understand their attack pattern. That will help you to figure out how to take them down. Look for the doors with time limit they will lock automatically after sometime, so you have to be accurate in your attacks. Once you play a few levels repeatedly it will save your time.
One of the best way to increase your speed is customizing the controls the way you want. You can also practice on the default ones, but if you focus on using the custom one then it will be more timesaver. Some movements are life saver like dodging. It is a key movement to dodge incoming attacks and you will be pressing this a lot. Roll is another thing that will help you a lot to escape incoming attacks. Practice it a lot.
