In Eastward Bound Walkthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, you will unlock the camp and lot of task you can do at the campsite to upgrade, craft, get a new task, etc. Eastward Bound is the last mission of Chapter 1 and focuses on Camp Upgrades.

After recovering the bond in the previous mission Who the Hell is Leviticus, the gang changes its location to a new place. The Eastward Bound (Walkthrough below) mission is mostly about traveling to the new campsite, there is nothing much to do in the path. You won’t face any enemies and as you reach the campsite you will be exploring this new place that will unlock a lot of possibilities for you in Red Dead Redemption 2.

In this mission also you can earn Gold Medal, the condition to fulfill this is first to pick up Javier while you are entering Horseshoe Overlook complete things there within 6 minutes. As the mission begins you will see the caravan crossing a river and the wheel falls off. The caravan is heading to a new campsite Horseshoe Overlook. You will need to help others to fix the wheel, pick up the wheel roll it towards the wagon. Bash it to fix the wheel and proceed.

Return to the wagon and go towards the new campsite. On your way, you will learn about the natives. There is nothing much to do till you reach the campsite. You will learn about the weather now, if you see the flashing sun icon in your Health Core then it means you are in the hot region. The same is applicable to cool places. Harsh weather will drain your Health Core faster. The best way to avoid your health drain fast is to wear appropriate clothes according to the environment. In a cutscene, you will learn about some herbs that can also be used to replenish your cores or you can use them in cooking and crafting items. Keep following the yellow line in the mini-map, and you will hear Javier slow down the cart for him to hop in it is a requirement for a gold medal.

At the campsite, there will be a cutscene where Dutch will set up the speech the people to set up the campsite. After getting your tent you will be able to unlock character customization. Camp Upgrades

Horseshoe Overlook is your new camp and it will unlock a lot of things. The first chapter was almost a pretty long tutorial from here you will be able to a lot of things. You will also unlock a fast travel point. It is also important for other people to return to the camp, so a few things will be locked. A lot of members of your group will participate in the main mission so a few of them will not available. You can also get a new task from them.

One more thing you have to focus on is donating money to the box will help to boost Camp morale. If you do this regularly along with participating in regular chores, buy upgrades and completing task offered you by the group members you will make them happier. They will also do the same, they donate money, ammo, and medicines to the tithing box. You will unlock Camp upgrade later on after you completed the seventh mission of this chapter. The mission name is Money Lending and Others Sins, it will unlock a ledge next to the donation box where you use the money for camp upgrades.

Other than this there are different Wagon’s in the camp you can visit and do a different thing. Below are the list and info what you can do. To feed yourself go to the stew pot in the camp region.

  • Morgan Arthur’s Wagon: Rest, Sleep, and Customize your character, Change outfits, etc. You can store around three outfits on your horse, and depending on the current environment you can change it. Just behind your tent, you can find ammo supplies. Depending on what weapon you carry you can get ammo from there.
  • Dutch van der Linde’s Tent: His tent is in the center area of the camp, the same place where you can see the donation box. You can share your money with the camp by donating in this box. Once there is enough money you can upgrade the camp, tents, unlock fast travel points, etc.
  • Pearson’s Wagon: This is the food supply section, here you can also use different animal parts to upgrade items in the camp and in your inventory. It is located a bit far away from Dutch’s tent. Look for a table and visit it for crafting upgrades. You can check the recipes you will need to upgrade your Satchel and other things. This is the Crafting Upgrade section of the game. You can share food items, pelts, valuables, etc here that are stored in your horse to increase Camp’s funding that will later help you in upgrades.
  • Leopold Strauss’s Wagon: Here you will get medical supplies donated by other members of the camp. Later you can find tonic’s that will offer you better abilities.
