How to recover your account in Old School Runescape

Time to get back into the grind on mobile or on PC.

Old School Runescape was recently released on mobile devices, giving players a chance to rekindle their love for the game on the go.

Those who don’t want to start from scratch, however, will need to access their older accounts to load their original character. If you’ve forgotten how to access your old account though, don’t worry! There are a number of ways to find your login details over on the Runescape website.

How to recover forgotten login details

So long as you remember your username or the email address registered to your account, you can recover your account through the Runescape website by filling in all the details provided.

If you have neither, you can fill out a form on the same website through the “Contact Us” option and Jagex, the game’s developer, will get in touch with you to help you out. You can also click the “No, I do not have access” option when the website asks you for email confirmation to be taken to this form page as well.

The form focuses on only things that the account creator would know, so its not like some random person will be stealing your account from you anytime soon.

What to do if your account is locked or disabled

If you can login but Runescape mentions that you have been banned or have a disabled account and are not sure why, you can ask Jagex to appeal the ban over on the website.

Note that this doesn’t guarantee that your account will be unbanned or enabled, so you might need to restart entirely if that is the case.
