Learn how to select and utilize the Assassin’s best abilities. Here’s what to know about this Realm Royale class.
Realm Royale features five fantasy-themed classes to choose from—Assassin, Hunter, Engineer, Mage, Warrior. Each class features a passive bonus effect, and starts the match with a unique movement ability and no other abilities. Abilities are obtained by looting chests and, like weapons, can drop at different rarities. Legendary abilities can be crafted at a Forge using Shards collected by Disenchanting items. Each class has a total of four different combat abilities, and can equip two of them at a time. Learn more about crafting in Realm Royale in our detailed crafting guide.
Realm Royale’s Assassin class features the following passive effect: Gain 10 percent swap speed and 10 percent reload speed. This buff works well with the Assassin’s versatile kit and compliments his in-your-face strategies by keeping your weapons loaded and ready to fire.
The Assassin’s Legendary weapon, Sniper Rifle, is an extremely powerful weapon, though it’s arguably counterintuitive to use when considering the abilities available to the Assassin. While all of the abilities focus on close-range combat, you’re not very likely to be using a Sniper Rifle at close range since it does require zoom to be fired. You can learn more about this weapon and more in our Realm Royale weapon guide.
Here’s a list of all of the Assassin class abilities in Realm Royale:
Realm Royale Assassin class abilities
Blink
Teleport forward a short distance.
- Cooldown: 12 / 6 / 8 / 4 (seconds)
The Assassin’s movement ability Blink allows the player to teleport forward a short distance in the direction they are currently facing (not the direction they are currently moving). The ability has an extremely short delay in getting to the destination, offering valuable mobility. It’s important to note that you can still get hit while Blinking. Blink can be used, with some skill, to gain a height advantage or to teleport through windows.
Smoke Screen
Throw a smoke screen that blocks vision and grants you brief invisibility.
- Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 (seconds)
- Duration: 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 (seconds)
Smoke Screen grants brief stealth and wil block enemy vision in and out of its radius. It’s important to note that you will be temporarily revealed upon firing your weapon or taking any other action, but if the Smoke Screen is still active you will regain Stealth. This is not as beneficial until higher ranks of the ability, but the brief Stealth even at lower levels can offer you a great opportunity to line up a shot (especially with your Legendary weapon) or simply cause the opponent to miss theirs.
Sensor Drone
Deploy a drone that reveals enemies through walls.
- Cooldown: 20 / 16 / 12 / 8 (seconds)
- Duration: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 (seconds)
Who doesn’t love a good wall hack? Sensor Drone is great for lining up a headshot while a target is still behind cover. It can be cast a relatively decent distance away from the player, offering the ability to check for enemy players before entering an area or building. Its cooldown and duration at Legendary rarity make it an extremely powerful ability in late game.
Ghost Walk
Become untargetable and move 20% faster for a short time.
- Cooldown: 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 (seconds)
- Duration: 3 / 3 / 3 / 3 (seconds)
- Movement Speed: 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 (percent)
Ghost Walk provides you with the invulnerability not granted by Blink, making you untargetable and increasing your movement speed for a brief duration. Considering the Assassin’s passive movement speed increase and the ability’s insanely short cooldown at Legendary rank, Ghost Walk is extremely valuable for getting you out of trouble, especially when it comes to dodging projectiles and abilities.
Concussion Bomb
A bomb that knocks back yourself and enemies.
- Cooldown: 14 / 12 / 10 / 8
- Damage: 250 / 300 / 350 / 400
Concussion Bomb is an extremely versatile ability, offering the Assassin yet another movement ability (when used as such) while dealing substantial damage to the enemy. This ability can be used to safely launch the assassin a short distance (you will not take damage) and is great for causing enemy players to miss their shots. Also, the damage is pretty insane.
