How to get Raymond and Audie in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Here's what you can do to find these two notable villagers.

There are a variety of unique villagers you can find in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There are so many available villagers in the game; Twitch streamers have turned into a process similar to how Pokémon players attempt to obtain the shiny form of a Pokémon, the rare, highly coveted version of a Pokémon that has a different coloration. Two notable villagers you might be after include Raymond and Audie.

Raymond is a well-dressed grey cat with different colored eyes, one is green, and the other is brown. Audie is a red wolf with yellow eyeshadow, and a pair of sunglasses on his head.

You can find them through two methods. The first is by having one of them randomly spawn on a Mystery Island you visit by using your Nook Miles to purchase a ticket. You may need to do this multiple times because all of it is random chance.

The second method to obtain Raymond or Audie is to have them randomly show up to your island while you have a campsite built. Each day you log into your New Horizons game, there’s a chance one of them will show up, and you can ask them to stick around. Unfortunately, much like Mystery Island, it’s a random chance, but what’s worse is that it can only occur once a day. You can visit a Mystery Island as many times in a single as you want, so purchasing Nook Miles Tickets for 2,000 Nook Miles are likely your best bet to locate him.

You can find both of them through the same methods, which means if you’re trying to find them both, you may need to hope you get one and then the other. Before looking to have them join your island, you should make sure you have an available slot on your island, or one of your other villagers will randomly leave.

Another, lesser-known method, to obtain these villagers is to have a friend already have them on their island as a resident. You can visit your friend’s island and then ask the villager if you want them to join your island. Doing this does pull them away from your friend’s island, so make sure they’re willing to part with them before attempting this process.
