Ghost of Tsushima will be one of the final big releases of this console generation. Sucker Punch’s upcoming PlayStation 4 title is one of the most keenly anticipated games of 2020 — so much so that Xbox One and PC owners may be wondering if they’ll get to play it.

If you’re curious about the possibility of Ghost of Tsushima coming to either of these platforms, we’re here to help. Let’s find out if the game is being ported to Xbox One and PC.

Will Ghost of Tsushima be ported to PC or Xbox One?

Let’s deal with the Xbox One first. The simple answer is no, Ghost of Tsushima won’t be coming to Microsoft’s home console. It’s a PS4 exclusive, which means that you won’t have the chance to buy it for Xbox One. It would be extraordinary for the Sony Interactive Entertainment-published game to be ported to Microsoft’s platform. That would be like Halo being available on PS4.

As for PC, it won’t be available here either. However, that doesn’t mean that Ghost of Tsushima won’t ever see the light of day on this platform.

PS4 exclusives, though small in number, have started to be ported to PC. Death Stranding is due to be released in July, while Horizon Zero Dawn has also been listed on Steam. Its release date is yet to be officially announced, but the placeholder says “Summer 2020” at the time of writing.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake, while not a Sony Interactive Entertainment-published game, is also only a PS4 exclusive until March 2021. It’s free to be ported to other platforms after this date, so it’s likely it’ll come to PC after Q1 next year as well.

It’s entirely possible, then, that Ghost of Tsushima could land on PC in the future. Don’t expect it for a while, but the chances are looking up following Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn ports.
